The oil industry is a dynamic, exciting business to be involved in. As well as the large integrated oil companies with which we are all familiar, there are a large number of smaller independent companies involved in the business of exploring for, developing and producing oil and gas, whether from below the North Sea, or elsewhere in the world. Some of these independent companies are well established with good internal resources in their technical and financial functions. However others are at an earlier stage of development and need to call upon external support from time to time to assist with these functions. Even the better established companies need to call upon additional resources at times when internal functions are overstretched or need additional expertise.
With this in mind, Oil Finance Consulting (OFC) was established in 2007 by Gerald Kenny to provide financial consulting services to oil and gas independents. It became a limited company in 2011. Gerald has over 21 years experience as an oil and gas financier with a leading UK bank, where he held a senior position before taking early retirement at the end of 2006.
